John Hiatt takes to “The Open Road” for summer tour

In support of his latest album, The Open Road, John Hiatt is taking to the road for an ambitious summer tour.

The tour kicked off on June 23 in Glenside, Penn., and is scheduled to run throughout the end of September. Some of the highlights of his tour include stops at the Ravinia in Highland, Ill., on July 1 with Levon Helm; the Winnipeg Folk Festival on July 8; and the Mountain Winery in Saratoga on July 22.

Hiatt is also scheduled to perform a special two night event on Sept. 17-18 at the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival in Fredericton, NB, and a three night event from Sept. 25-28 at the City Winery in NYC.

John Hiatt New Album & Tour

Last month John Hiatt released his new album “The Open Road.”  In support of his latest efforts, Hiatt and his band will be heading out on the road all summer long.

“Looking at life through the rearview mirror was the inspiration… the rockin’ songs sizzle with the heat from a two-lane blacktop on a summer’s day,”  Hiatt reflects. “All the other years my songs are about coming home, but within these 11 songs… home is never the destination.”
